HOW MUCH EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?
All of Wild Adventure Canada trips do not require any previous experience. Our adventures are for any level of experience and for any age. The pace is casual as the goal is to learn, have fun, and to leave enough time to see that family of moose.
SUGGESTED ITEMS TO PACK?
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Sun screen
- Rain jacket (We will not depart without each of our guests having a rain jacket. Rain pants are highly recommended.)
- One pair of quick dry pants
- One pair of shorts
- Socks and underwear for each day
- Warm sweater (wool or fleece)
- Long underwear
- Bathing suit
- Two pairs of shoes (one pair for the day, one pair for the evening. No flip flops.)
- Camera (optional)
- Binoculars (optional)
- Water bottle
- 30 litre day backpack
WHAT KIND OF SHAPE DO YOU NEED TO BE IN?
Anyone who is travelling with us should be able to walk for up to five hours at a time.
DO YOU REQUIRE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE TO RUN A TRIP?
No. Our trips will run no matter how many people sign up.
ARE GUIDE GRATUITIES INCLUDED?
Gratuities are never expected, but are appreciated for the hard work our guides provide for our guests. Tips should be based on quality of service.
WHO ELSE IS ON THE TRIP?
Our standard trips might consist of a single person travelling on their own, groups of friends, or a couple. The female to male ratio is typically equal, but may differ slightly through each trip. Canada fascinates people from all over the world, which means each trip will be an international group. Something to keep in mind is that everyone on our trips are there for the same reason: love for the wilderness. Wild Adventures Canada also offers exclusive adventures just in case the group trips don’t fit your needs. Please contact us to customize the trip that suits you.
WHAT IS THE FOOD LIKE?
Wild Adventures Canada takes pride serving our guests the finest backpacking feasts. Breakfasts include: eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, juice, pancakes, and oatmeal. Lunches will include a variety of fresh ingredients including bread, deli meat, cheese, vegetables, hummus, fruit, and homemade brownies and cookies for dessert. Typical dinners will include fajitas, burgers, garden salad, fresh vegetables, and the traditional camping dessert consisting of marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers.
Please make certain that our staff are aware of any allergies or dietary restrictions when making the reservation.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE ADVENTURE PACKAGE PRICE?
Wild Adventure Canada trips include everything our guests will require including equipment, all meals, permits and the benefits of a wilderness guide. Bring yourselves and we will take care of the rest. Round trip transportation from Toronto can be added to the package price for an additional charge.
WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED?
Canadian Taxes (HST), transport to and from Toronto (applicable charges will be applied if required)
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
Cancellation of any trip with Wild Adventures Canada must be submitted within 30 days prior to departure to receive a refund. The 25% deposit is not refundable. Any cancellations less than 30 days before your departure will result in no refund. Trips will depart rain or shine. Day trips are the only exception in the case of lightning. This will delay the trip an hour. If it continues, the trip will be cancelled and a full refund will be provided.
